I had done this the last time support worked with me on this issue. As of right now, I had a workflow fail about an hour ago:
2/14/2011 1:56 PM Comment AssignedPrintDesigner is now <domain>\<print designer user>
2/24/2011 3:21 PM Comment Error in request data action. Unauthorized attempt to update collect data task by <domain>\<accounting user>,. The response has not been recorded. Error
2/24/2011 3:21 PM Error System Account
An error has occured in Display, Line Ad, Inserts, Advertorial Workflow.
I just ran the tool again and this is what resulted:
C:\Util>CheckGroup.exe http://dockets "Accounting Members" <domain>\<accounting user>
Is user a member of the group: True
The ULS log contains the following with regards to this:

Any additional info that might help? To reiterate, this is very intermittent. Most of the time, workflows sail on through for these users without problem. Just once in a while (~3 times a week), this gums up the works.
