    SharePoint's web services

SharePoint comes complete with a host of web services that perform a wide variety of functions. THey can be accessed via our "Call Web Service" action.  A list of all the web-services available can be accessed at: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-au/library/ms445292.aspx

Maybe check the logs in the 12 hive for a more detailed description of the error? Also check the event viewer, it might have some obvious ones.

That's what I would suggest too.

    Re: SharePoint's web services

    Hi,

We just acquired a Nintex license and we are running Nintex 1903 on MOSS 2007. I am completely new to Nintex. I followed your web service tutorial and it works fine. And then I tried to call a web services that is generated in Oracle SOA suite. But I got "Index was outside the bounds of the array" error. I appreciate if you could point me to the correct direction. Here are my questions:

    1. What should I populate to the field of URL: Web Serivce WSDL URL or the endpoint URL? Neither your tutorial nor the help file specified what needs to be populated.

    2. Where can I find more information of how to use Nintex web services? Is there a manual that I can download?

    Thanks,

     Jeff

    Re: SharePoint's web services

    Hi Jeff,

    1. What should I populate to the field of URL: Web Serivce WSDL URL or the endpoint URL? Neither your tutorial nor the help file specified what needs to be populated.

    WSDL url.

Although both will work for a .Net web service.

    2. Where can I find more information of how to use Nintex web services? Is there a manual that I can download?

No there isn't, but the basic premise is just to configure the correct soap message in the dialog, with or without the help of the dialog. And by that I mean, you don't need to press 'refresh' to determine the template soap message, you can just enter the message in text directly.

I am guessing you you get 'Index out of range' in the call web service dialog (probably when pressing refresh?) rather then at run time?  Which would indicate the WSDL from Oracle is tripped up our code to cause in the error.

In this case, we would appreciate if you could download the wsdl and email it to support@nintex.com so we can run it in our environment and work out what is wrong.

If we can see the wsdl, we should be able to help you format the message manually in the meantime.

    regards

    James
