    Automating NWAdmin.exe operations

    Hi,

I'm currently looking at options how to automate the process of purging workflow data and history. While nwadmin.exe offers the ability to remove these things via nwadmin.exe -o PurgeWorkflowData and nwadmin.exe -o PurgeHistoryListData, both of them require an Admin to offer confirmation. I would like to automate this by either passing a switch saying "assume always yes" or passing an answer file to the nwadmin.exe

Does something like that exist or am I barking up the wrong tree here? How does one make sure that the database doesn't bust otherwise?

    Thanks in advance & Regards,

    Eduard Ralph

    Hi,

The nwadmin purgeworkflowdata command now has a -silent option.

This will allow you to scedule the command to be run at a later stage.

    Hi,

I also would like to automate the PurgeHistoryListData and PurgeWorkflowData and I have tried the -silent option, but it still asks for confirmation.

Do I have to change any settings in order to have the functionality working?

    Thanks

    Hi paulsmith,

what build of NW2010 are you on?  If it's not in the latest build, I'll put it in as a feature request.
