Flexi task - Direct task not allowed

    Hi

Im experiencing some problems using direct tasks (approve) within a flexi task. If the user click the approve link they get the message "Direct task responses are only valid for approval tasks".

    Why is this a problem?

    Hi,

If you are inserting a reference to the "approve" link in the task email, then this is expected behaviour.

The link can only be used for request approval actions. This is due to the dynamic nature of the flext task.

    Hi Peter,

I am experiencing the eaxact same problem.

I need to use the fleci task to defina custom outcome. So, I cannot use the Reqeust for approval task where direct responses from the emial notification is supported.

    Is there a workaround?

    Hi,

The only work around would be to use lazy approval and instruct the user to respond with the outcomes defined in the flexi task.

Responses such as approve and reject do not apply, only responses with the same names as the outcomes.
