• Re: Blank workflow status

There is an action called Set Workflow Status in the Operations category. Make sure that you add an action near the end of the workflow to also mark it as complete as when you use this action to set the status SharePoint will no longer auto update the status for you.

  • Re: Volumetric and Timing Reports on Workflow Tasks

Nintex Reporting was more designed for looking at Farm level reporting such as which sites are most popular and where content is growing most quickly. There are also settings to view reports at the site level but they can't be customised the way you are looking to.

  • Re: No Update on my Post # 28186

Hi Kunal, This forum is hosted by Nintex but is a community forum so there is no service level agreement, many questions are answered by other users. If you have a question that you need a specific response on rather than a general question you are best to contact support@nintex.com If you email them the excellent support ...

  • Re: Evaluation multiple conditions best practices?

If the people and/or decisions change on a regular basis I like to use a SharePoint list to hold the data that forms the business logic then when the workflow runs use actions such as Query List to grab data from the list.... this works nicely for things like serial approval where the number of people involved will vary. This also means that you ...

  • Re: Max one instance of workflow should run at a time

You would need to construct a design to make this happen, something like. Add an extra column to the library called "being updated". At the start of your workflow add a Query List action that checks to see if any other documents are currently being edited, if the answer is no then update the items column to say "editing" ...

  • Re: The selected workflow 'WF' is already running on list item - workaround needed

I think this is a part of the core rules of the SharePoint Workflow engine i.e. a list item can only have one active instance of any given workflow, the only exception I have seen is when the workflow has multiple versions. I can start a workflow instance then edit the workflow and publish it again, now I can start another instance of that same ...

  • Re: Request Approval with Comment and FileUpload

I think the only action that will let you upload a file is the Request Data action. It can be customised to include other fields which then become questions on the input form. Tip: This action in a bit odd and needs to create a Site Content Type to work so make sure you are loged in as a user that has permissions to create Site Content Types as ...

  • Re: Where to modify the "unable to match this response to a running workflow" message template?

This cant be changes in the web interface. My guess is it will be somewhere in the Nintex SQL config database which is created when you are installing Nintex. Other than searching the database, you could ask support@nintex.com they might be able to tell you where this is stored.

  • Re: Pre-Create Workflow Status Column Manually

There is no option for this in the interface... the only options that are available for workflow status columns are:When designing a worklow In Workflow Settings you can specify that no workflow status column is created (so it doesnt show)The content of the workflow status column can be update to contain any words you want, not just "in ...
